Authentic Lifestyle Part 2:

Seasonal changes comes with various changes in your lifestyles like the way you dress and the amount of sunscreen required or your skincare routine on a day to day basis. It can cause quite an impact on your everyday life so its always better to know the seasons around your area. Starting the season is always exciting. Buying new clothes is then easily justified. However, the transition between seasons doesn’t tend to be smooth, which means that, for a couple of weeks or even a month, deciding what to wear in the morning might prove to be more challenging than expected. A jersey dress with three quarter sleeves is perfect for those unpredictable days at the end of Summer. Fresh enough if it’s sunny – just add a pair of cute sandals and a scarf in case it gets cold – and it offers enough coverage to stay warm on a rainy day: just add a jacket on top and closed shoes. You can also wear it with tights if it gets that cold! The one most essential piece of clothing is that white shirt that we always need, be it shine or rain. Have a few accessories that help spice up your outfits. If I have a few layers to my look it’s easy to add or subtract pieces according to the weather. I find that bringing a jacket with me now is a good idea but it’s not really the time for a winter coat so I will use a denim jacket instead. It’s not too heavy, not too light and as a bonus it’s right on trend. I will usually pop one on over a slip dress with a tee underneath and I am set. If it warms up a bit it’s easy to push up the sleeves and leave my arms partially exposed.
Sunscreen:
No matter the season, sunscreen is an essential in everyones bag to protect your skin from the sun’s extreme and harsh UV rays. So always have a bottle of sunscreen whenever you step out. Use sunscreen every day, even if it’s cloudy.
Apply at least one ounce of sunscreen. At least 15 to 30 minutes before going outside.
Choose a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB radiation.
Don’t forget to reapply sunscreen every two hours.
While sunglasses are the best bet to protect your eyes from sun rays, wearing wide-brimmed hats also works wonders to deal with hot weather in summer. Even scarves and stoles can help you to beat the summer heat. Moreover, scarves and stoles can up your style along with offering you protection in the hot weather. It goes without saying that during summers you need to up your intake of fluids. This is because drinking more water not only prevents dehydration but also helps you to keep your skin healthy. You lose more water in summers because you sweat more during this time. Ideally, it is advised to drink around 2-3 litres of water per day.
Taking care of your skin also means that you should maintain a healthy diet according to your BMI (Body Mass Index) Always be careful when it comes to the food that goes into your body. Junk food once in a while is obviously okay but not when it becomes your lifestyle. Include the gym in your routine if you feel like you need to reduce some excess fat from your body and maintain a clean diet. Include fruits, vegetables, lean meat, fish, beans, eggs and nuts in your diet. You need some fat in your diet, but it’s important to pay attention to the amount and type of fat you’re eating.
There are 2 main types of fat: saturated and unsaturated. Too much saturated fat can increase the amount of cholesterol in the blood, which increases your risk of developing heart disease.
On average, men should have no more than 30g of saturated fat a day. On average, women should have no more than 20g of saturated fat a day.
Children under the age of 11 should have less saturated fat than adults, but a low-fat diet is not suitable for children under 5.
Food labels help in telling you the amount of sugars that the particular product contains. You need to drink plenty of fluids to stop you getting dehydrated. The government recommends drinking 6 to 8 glasses every day. This is in addition to the fluid you get from the food you eat. Water is the most essential to your body. Hydrating yourself will improve skins health, and all the possible toxins can be flushed out with adequate amount of water.
Never skip breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day because you literally break the fast in the morning. Your body has been without food the entire night so the breaking of the fast, ie Breakfast is quite important. So eat healthy fruits and vegetables to start the day.
